Maximum Weight Capacity of XL Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin # SHP2040-XL

Question:
What is the weight limit for towing using this pin? It keeps talking about hitch accessories, but it doesnt say anything about towing a trailer. This was suggested to me as a towing solution, I need to know weights.

The anti-rattle hitch lock you referenced, part # SHP2040-XL does not carry a weight rating, but it is only compatible with ball mounts that have hollow shanks. Ball mounts with hollow shanks usually have a maximum capacity of 7500 lbs, so 7500 lbs would be effective max capacity of the locking hitch pin, since you'll be limited by the capacity of the lowest rated component of your towing system.
