Question:

I have a 2017 F350 with a Curt 2.5inch receiver that has a very tight clearance with the bumper. Due to the clearance I can only tighten it from the bottom. I am running a Blue Ox 2.5inch Sway Pro WD Hitch that I would like to put tension in an upward direction to eliminate the noise on rough roads. I also run standard ball mounts when towing my other trailers. I like the design of the BLU85QR because I would be able to run it in the upward and downward direction depending on what I am towing and how I am towing and still clear my bumper. Will the BLU85QR work on a 2.5inch receiver without bending or deforming? What are the dimensions of the BLU85QR? I do realize I may need to trim some of the plastic on the bumper.

Thanks for the picture! I have a solution for you but the Blue Ox Hitch Receiver Immobilizer for 3" Hitches item # BLU85QR won't work on your 2-1/2" receiver. I highly recommend the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches item # RM-062. This has a similar set up where you will be able to tighten it in both the upward and downward directions. It is also the more cost effective option between the two. I have linked a diagram below that shows the dimensions.
