We have installed many of these hydraulic pumps, and they do seem to work well with the Dodge Ram; however, as indicated in the chart above, some of the Fords and some of the GM Chevrolets don't "like" them, I guess. They keep indicating that the trailer is not connected, so it will not operate the brakes. As a workaround, we have actually installed a common brake magnet from an electric brake in line between the truck and the pump to sort of "fool" the truck into thinking it is connected to the trailer. (We just zip strapped the trailer brake magnet to the frame somewhere and wired it into the blue wire. ) This seems to have fixed the problem, (temporarily) until you can buy the CAM adapter that's needed.
