What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out this etrailer gooseneck handle replacement. So we have a ram gooseneck coupler right here. This is gonna replace this section. Maybe your pin broke or bent. This is what you can weld on there to get it working like new again.
Let's check it out. Why you'd want to get a replacement handle for your gooseneck coupler is if it's rusted out. Some people have said that in accidents, the pin has actually bent, so it's unusable. So instead of having to get a whole new coupler set up, you can cut off the old one and replace with a new one. Now, to attach this handle to your jack, you will have to weld.
You also have to cut off the old one so you can weld the new one in place. It'll work just like the one that's already on here since it is a replacement. You see we have these two guides for the handle welded in place with the spring in the middle, and that's what's gonna give it the spring loaded. So you'll be able to hold it up, leave it there in place to disengage the coupler and then to attach the coupler. It's gonna come with everything you need with the handle, the plates and the guides, and even the spring in the middle.
You're just gonna have to have a way to cut off the old one and weld on a new one. I really like that you can just get one simple replacement part and not have to buy a whole new setup here. It's gonna be far more cost effective to just buy this and replace it and use it again. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out and hope this helped.

I thought I was going to have to replace the whole neck assembly. This is a great alternative at a great price as my original latch wouldn't lock open anymore
Very well made and works as described. Very easy to install with a mig welder. Functions great and for the price you cannot go wrong. It works better now than when the trailer was new. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone needing to replace the locking mechanism.
Replaced the old style coupler that had a bent pin and was bound up. Cut off the old stuff and put on this new style. Worked great.

Locking mechanism has been working great! No issues!
Worked great to replace a bent pin on a bulldog coupler. The tabs have to be widened out to align square the pin with the holes. We also welded some round bar underneath the pin on the tabs to keep the pin tight against the top of the tab. Much better deal than replacing the entire coupler or fabricating your own.
