Hey Skip! To flat tow your 2016 Wrangler behind your RV you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, wiring, and a supplemental brake system. I recommend the following:
-Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1126
-Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar # BLU28QV (includes safety cables)
-Blue Ox Universal Tow Bar Cover # BLU53QV (optional)
-Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-15267
-Curt RVibrake Shadow 2 Flat Tow Brake System # RVI94FR (includes charge line)
You may also need a high-low adapter like # e52ZV to keep your setup level. Measure from the ground to the center of the receiver on your RV. The bracket height of the Blue Ox base plate is 14-1/2" so subtract that from your hitch measurement to find the difference which is the rise/drop you need. You want to be as close to level as possible, and +/- 3" of level is considered the safe zone. See the attached photo.

Skip, I just installed the blue ox baseplate on my 2017 Jeep. It fit perfectly, tucked really tight under the front bumper like I wanted. Have the blue ox tow bar as well. Every thing fit perfectly. I used the M&G braking system that mounts between the master cylinder and brake booster and uses air from the motorhome to apply the brakes on the jeep in unison with the motor home. Works great

Skip. We bought and installed the tow bar on my 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. We have towed the Jeep behind our 38' Coachman SportsCoach with the Blue Ox tow bar several times now and you really don't even know the vehicle is being towed. Works great. Very easy to hook everything up once the tow plate has been installed. We have gone with the bluetooth taillights for the vehicle being towed instead of a wired connection. They work great. We have been very happy with the setup.

I bought the kit that you’re looking at buying and installed it myself in an hour or so. My one recommendation is a new sharp drill bit. Good instructions. Can’t believe I didn’t put one of these kits on earlier after Dolly’s and trailers. This really is the best and simplest hook up. Once again good instructions.

I have this setup also and installed it myself. Pretty easy to install. Had to call about the wiring once but they answered the question quickly and professionally. Highly recommend this setup worth every penny.

Skip, I have the exact setup described above and love it. We have a 2014 jeep wrangler and pull it behind our Tiffin RV. Easy to install and easy to use. I average about 10 minutes to hook up and go…highly recommend. Joe
