Hi Scott, yes, the SoftStartRV part # SSR54FR is the correct soft start kit for your setup. Based on your model number B59516.711J0, you have a Dometic Brisk II 15,000 BTU unit, which is a standard single zone rooftop AC and a perfect match for that kit.
I’m really glad you included all that detail because it helps make sure you get this right the first time and avoid any install headaches. The SSR54FR is designed for single AC systems like yours and works well with Dometic units in the 13.5K to 15K range. It reduces the startup surge so you’re less likely to trip breakers or overload a smaller generator, which is exactly what most people are trying to solve.
It’s a hardwired kit, so it doesn’t depend on brand specific plugs and is commonly used on setups just like yours for smoother, quieter starts. However, it will need to be hardwired. I emailed you the wiring diagram because it wouldn't let me add it here.
What generator or shore power do you use most with your Minnie 2500FL, and where are you headed next?

We have a on board Honda ES3000 watt gas generator but most of the time we use 30/50 amp shore power. Currently in Texas. We leave for Gunnison, Colorado in May for 5 months. Thanks for your help.
