Hanger placement?

Hey Gary. We've got quite a few spring hangers like the Front/Center/Rear Hanger for Double-Eye Springs item # 28-5. This one is 3-1/4" tall measured from where it attaches to the frame to the 9/16" bolt hole.

How tall of a spring hanger are you needing?

I added a third 6K axle to my trailer frame to build a new Mardi Gras parade float. I have my axle hangers spaced as follows: 1st hanger —- 29.5” — 2nd hanger —33” —- 3rd hanger —- 29.5” —— 4th hanger. It does depend on how long your leaf springs are though. I think my leaf springs are 26” long…it was a while back though when I did this project. Shackles I used I think ate 2.56” hole spacing with a 3.88” overall length.

@DanB Thanks for taking the time to leave that feedback Dan! What Mardi Gras parade do you go to? I ride on a float in the St. Louis one every year and it's always so much fun!

@JerredH. We ride in several parades on Mississippi Gulf Coast (Ocean Springs parades, Pascagoula, D’Iberville, and Biloxi). We have two floats. 32’ and 40’ in length. Lots of work…but lots of fun!!!

@DanielB Maybe I'll see you some day! The D’Iberville and Biloxi area is where I plan on posting up when I retire! Good to know they throw a big Mardi Gras parade.
