Are Hydrastar Ceramic Brake Pads Interchangeable With Kodiak 250

Are these Hydrastar pads the same profile as the Kodiak 250 pads? They look the same and they both have 250 in the part number.

Hey John! Yes, the Hydrastar Ceramic Brake Pads # HYD85FR share the same profile as the Kodiak 250 brake pads. These are interchangeable with the Kodiak Ceramic Brake Pads # K250CP.

What kind of trailer are you replacing the brake pads on?

I upgraded my 42' fifth wheel to the Hydrastar disc brake kit and have not had any trouble, I have been running them since April of 2022 with roughly 10,000 miles on them. I have done a lot of upgrades but other than the tires and suspension upgrade the Disc brakes upgrade has been the best upgrade and safety with peace of mind.

I spoke with my contact at Kodiak and he said that yes you can turn the disc brake hub/rotor to remove the rust and pits. Etched into the backside of the rotor there will be a minimum width clearance or minimum rotor thickness that you can turn to.
