Question:
Is there a 6inch oval led backup light that can project more light out than the incandescent ones? Not just looking at it being brighter but actually project farther away, lighting up the area im backing up to.

We have 6-1/2 inch oval LED lights that are very bright, that are typically referred to as 6 inch lights in the trailer industry. I recommend the Optronics GloLight LED Backup Light for Truck or Trailer - Submersible - 22 Diodes, # BUL111CB, because it is a very bright replacement light that that meets the DOT compliant standards. They have a very clean look and are sonically sealed so they can handle all the weather thrown at them. They require a recessed mount # a70gb, and a 2-prong wiring harness # A49PB.
If you are not using them as DOT compliant lights, I recommend the Sealed, 6-1/2" LED Clear Oval Trailer Utility Light, 10 Diode, # BUL72CB. These are recessed lights that work more like a flood light according to our customer reviews. These lights are very bright and should meet your needs well. This light will require the same recessed mount and a 3-prong wiring pigtail, # A47PB.
For a non-recessed/surface mount option, I recommend the Optronics Sealed, 6" Oval, LED Trailer Utility Light, Adhesive Mount, 10 Super Diode - Clear, # BUL78C3MB. Although the light is 6 inches, the dimensions are 7-9/16 x 3-5/16 inches. You can use the 2-Wire Pigtail for Optronics Trailer Lights - 2-Prong PL-10 Plug - 10" Lead, # A45CB. This will give you a similarly bright light so you will be able to navigate when backing up, but will mount to the surface of your trailer or truck.
