This Curt hitch is built with a sturdy, square-tube design and a 2" x 2" receiver opening, ready for towing up to 6,000 lbs gross trailer weight and handling 600 lbs of tongue weight. When used with weight distribution, it steps up to 10,000 lbs GTW and 1,000 lbs TW. That gives you serious capacity for small campers, boats, or utility trailers without needing anything more than a solid bolt-on install.
You won’t need special tools or a lift to get this hitch mounted. It bolts right to the frame using the included hardware kit and clear instructions—no welding required. It’s made for DIY installs with standard hand tools and can be handled solo if you plan ahead. Once it’s on, everything lines up cleanly for bike racks, cargo carriers, or a ball mount so you can start using it right away.
The fully welded steel construction gives this hitch its strength, while a gloss black powder coat over a protective base coat keeps corrosion in check. It’s durable enough for daily towing or weekend trips and keeps looking sharp even after long use. The finish also helps guard against chips and rust from road grime and weather exposure.

No problems.
Went on easy. Didn't have to remove spare tire. Needed an extra set of hands to line it up. 20 minute install. Follow the video on e-trailer and it's a no brainer. Make sure to torque and mark your bolts to see if they move at all.
Good quality and perfect fit. All necessary hardware included. Fast shipping and great price. Watched the simple online instructions first and had no issues. Had it installed in less than half an hour (it is best to have a helper). A great addition to my 2017 Silverado.
Took an hour to install solo with the truck on the ground and the help of a jack stand as my extra set of hands. Followed the steps in the video. Paper directions that came with the product weren’t very helpful because the pictures were poor quality. Video is superb though.

Product came quickly, packaged nicely, but the hitch did not fit without modifications. The hitch was up against the bumper support and would not align the holes correctly. I had to drill out the holes wider in order to fit. Other then that I'm satisfied with it.
I ordered the Curt C13175 trailer hitch. The hitch was high quality and very easy to install. etrailer was awesome. The product shipped the same day I ordered it and arrived two days shad of the projected delivery date.
I cannot say enough about simplicity of putting this product in. I am constantly ordering something for my vehicles. Nothing ever fits and has to be modified if it is not "OEM". Not this product - I honestly told the guys in my shop to double check it again because that was too easy. It is a shame etrailer doesn't sell classic VW parts - I recently restored a 67 beetle from the frame up and had 2 parts out of 161 actually not have to be modified in some case.
If you want parts that fit and don't cause stress, order from etrailer. I won't shop anywhere else if they have the part.
The trailer hitch was a perfect fit for my GMC Sierra. It does take two people to lift it into place and get the bolts started. Installation took about half an hour.
I purchased a Curt Receiver Hitch for my 2016 GMC Seirra. Etrailer.com had the best price by far. Also free shipping. Another plus. My hitch came in in three days. Very easy to put on could have used a couple of extra hands as others have said but still went on quick. I will let others know about etrailer.com. I put my hitch to work this weekend and no complaints so far.
The Curt Trailer Hitch is a great product, overall the construction was solid and the product was well finished. I purchased this product for my 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 long bed base model work truck without a factory receiver hitch installed.
I installed the trailer hitch myself in less than an hour with basic heavy duty tools, it was a tight fit and not much room for adjustment. I also didn't like the metal to metal contact with the factory bumper hitch support bar, that is why I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars. I had minor difficultly installing it myself and a second pair of hands would have made the install faster. Once in place and all the hardware was tight this hitch looks great.

Hitch fit just like the video showed. Installation was done very easy. My shipment was broken into along the shipping route and the wire harness was lost. etrailer shipped me a replacement when I contacted them. Great customer service.

Hitch has been working perfect for the last year. Ive used it many time and have never had any issues.
Installed the hitch this morning, by myself with a floor jack, I am 71 years old so took me about 1 hour. Everything fit perfect. Didn't lower the spare but taped the washers on just like the video. Most trouble was with the electrical plugs. Couldn't get the factory plug loose. Finally found the elusive lock. Very pleased with the product, timely shipping and packaging. Sorry no pictures.

Great just towed a car trailer with a car on it. Perfect??
Purchased this tow bar for a 2018 Chevy Silverado 4x4 1500 Extended (Double) cab. The installation was a snap after watching the EZ Trailer video. Total time to install was about 15 minutes with the help of a 2nd pair of hands to hold the other side of hitch when bolting it on. There was no need to remove the spare tire as the hitch fit perfectly around it and into the frame's factory made holes. Would recommend using an impact type wrench for an easier install. Great product and at a great price. Would recommend.

Have used my easily installed E-Trailer hitch several times in the 1st year. Very happy with this product and the simple installation required for my 2018 1500 Silverado. Would defiantly recommend.

Couldn't be happier! Ordered the Curt #13175 and Hopkins #40975 wiring kit on a Friday afternoon and it shipped that night. The following Monday was Memorial Day so didnt expect it until Thursday but it was delivered Tuesday! Easy install on both parts (highly recommend a second pair of hands with the trailer hitch) and am a happy camper!!! This was on a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500.
Fit perfect and was an easy install, packaging was great so it arrived damage free… very pleased!
