Question:
I have a 2005 Dodge Dakota. I ordered the 84 inch the Snowsport HD SS48GV and expect to have it delivered on March 9. Is it possible to order the necessary parts later so that this plow can be used with the electric winch to raise and lower it?

Hey Joseph, welcome back! It is definitely ok to wait and order the Electric Plow Winch for SnowSport HD and LT Utility Snowplows item # A68AG. This is the one you'll need for your new Agri-Cover SnowSport HD Utility Snowplow item # SS48GV. It'll bolt directly to the plow and comes with all necessary wiring needed to run the toggle switch to the cab of your Dakota.
How big of an area are you needing to clear snow off of?

I used my plow for a couple of years before installing the winch and down pressure strap. While the plow works well without the winch, I added the winch for the convenience of being able to raise the plow and reposition the truck without having to get out of the truck. I've got about 1/3 of a mile of road/driveway and a lot of parking area to plow. I live in northern MN, so we get a lot of snow and it stays on the ground for several months. You may want to try using the plow without the winch first and then if you want to add the winch later, it's easy to bolt on. In my situation, I raise the plow with the winch after a push maybe 20% of the time when I back up and just let the plow float most of the time when I back up.
