Replacement Converter for 1987 Camper Upgrading to Lithium Batteries

Question:
Hi, I have a 1987 camper that runs on a 20 amp system. I use the 15 amp adaptor at the campground. I want to upgrade to Lithiumm but I need a compatible replacment converter. Most that I was able to find are only 30 amps and up. Thanks

Hey Martin! You don't have to replace your converter with one that matches the 20A exactly. Something like the WFCO Auto Detect RV Converter and AC/DC Distribution Panel - 12V - 25 Amp # WF36FR will work with your setup. This fits a 10-3/8" wide x 4" long x 6" tall cutout so you will probably have to modify what you have for it to fit (probably the case for any replacement).
This is lithium compatible and automatically applies the right charging profile for your batteries. With your 15 amp adapter at the campground that will be the limit regardless of the converter so a larger converter won't damage anything.
