Can WFCO Auto Detect RV Converter and AC/DC Distribution Panel Power Portable AC Unit

Question:

Im looking at putting solar and a 30 amp shore power plug on my enclosed trailer just when it comes to 12v and 110 trying to get everything to work together is where I get confused this looks like my best option I will be running a small portable ac unit so want to make sure this is big enough to power that obviously that will only be on 110 shore power not 12v any shared info will be greatly appreciated

Hey Kody, the WFCO converter part # WF36FR is rated for up to 25 amps so it might be enough for your AC unit but you would need to check the power rating of your AC Unit to be sure. I can't imagine it would draw more than 25 amps but it's better to check to be sure first.

So if I use this i wont need a power inverter bc this does it all including charge my battery and transfers the power from 120 to 12v so I can run my 12v lights when its plugged in but also be able to power my 120 plugs

@KodyB The panel has AC and DC power circuits so you wouldn't have to use an inverter with this. It also does charge your batteries.

@JamesonC ok so once I plug it in to shore power ill be able to run my 12v lights and be able to turn my ac on but when im off grid ill still be able to run my 12v lights off my battery but will let me plug my phone in and charge them through the 120 plug being powered by my battery

@KodyB yes that would be correct. It usually takes like a sub panel powered by an inverter from the battery to power AC devices without being plugged into AC power.
