Hey Arnaud, thanks for the information! The Weigh Safe True Tow Weight Distribution Hitch item # WS49MR would be a great option for a 17,500 lbs trailer. It will work with tongue weights up to 1,850 lbs but it's not going to be overrated for your trailer's lower tongue weight. The built in scale will also allow you to adjust how you load your trailer and account for the weight of anything in your F-250's bed.

The Weigh Safe item # WS49MR has built in sway control that will keep your trailer in line with your truck when you are passed by a semi, get hit by a gust of wind, or make a sudden lane change. The included 2-1/2" shank will give you up to a 6" drop so you can line up to your trailer's coupler. Depending on what package you have and tire size, you may need one of the 8" Drop item # WS37RR or 10" Drop item # WS77RR systems. These are identical setups as item # WS49MR with the exception of longer shanks.

You'll want to measure how far off of the ground your F-250's hitch is in relation to your trailer's coupler to determine how long of a drop you need on the shank.

What kind of trailer do you have?
