Why Would RV Sink Spray Water in Odd Way

Updated 02/09/2026 | Published 02/02/2026

Question:

Does the aerator unscrew on this faucet ? These faucets came installed on my 2022 Forest River Cardinal LE. One faucet has begun spraying/squirting a stream from the left edge of the “end cap”. How can this be fixed ?

Hey Ray, yes you need to unscrew the aerator of your faucet and then clean it off as it's clogged and making the water go everywhere. Did you recently have any plumbing work done? I had this happen after that and I had to clean it several times before it stopped. Hopefully nothing gets lodged into your cartridge.

If you have a tankless water heater you probably need to have it descaled.

Ray, I had a problem like this once where the side of the faucet split from a freeze before I winterized. The split was so small I couldn't even see it but once I turned the water one it sprayed out the side. I'm not saying this is your issue but something to look into if you determine your faucet isn't clogged. I purchased this faucet then to replace the one that was damaged. Works great and was nearly a perfect match to the one removed from my 2021/2022 Heartland Fuel 265. Good luck!!!

Yes, the aerator does unscrew for cleaning. The picture seems to indicate a crack in the faucet. We installed this unit as a replacement to a much smaller faucet, and have been very happy with both the ease of installation and performance.
