Will etrailer Hitch Fit 2025 Lexus TX 550h+

Question:

Want to make sure this hitch works with the 2025 Lexus TX550H+. The TX550H+ has limited production out there, and because of the added battery for the plugin, I am not sure if it will fit. I also have the kick sensor on the TX550H+, not 100 sure if thats at the same location as the regular TX350 or TX500H.

Hey Kenneth! Yes, the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e69ZV will fit your 2025 Lexus TX 550h+. I understand the hesitation since this fits other make/models but I can tell you it has been tested and confirmed on the 550h+.

Your kick sensor may be limited, or functionality may be lost, with the installation of the hitch. This is true for any aftermarket hitch you choose to install on your 550h+. However, complete loss of functionality is incredibly rare. More than likely you will have to adjust and place your foot on either side of the receiver in the "sweet spot" to trigger the sensor.

I pu this hitch on my 2014 TX350. The hitch went on easy and works great. I didn’t order the correct wiring at first. I you don’t have a towing package on your car you’ll need the wiring kit that comes with an electronics board. It installs under the back passenger driver side arm rest. You don’t have to remove the window trim like the instructions say. The board will plug right in to the plugs that are there on the fender and the box will mount to the fender. The wiring that plugs in right above the bumper must be the wiring that comes with the board. If you do have the tow package that wiring is different. Let me know if you have any questions. Hal

I installed this hitch on my 2024 Grand Highlander Hybrid Limited, which I would assume would be a very similar fit to your LexusTX550H+. It was a very quick and easy process to install the hitch (About a 30min install). It was a bit tricky to install it myself due to the size and weight, but I ended up using 2 jack stands to raise it up and hold in place while threading in the bolts. Regarding the kick sensor: The hitch install did not affect the function of my kick sensor. I can still place my foot on either side of the hitch receiver to trigger the sensor and activate the hatch.
