Question:

I have a 2026 Toyota grand Highlander. I’m looking for Westin aluminum black running boards and installation kit. I’m also looking for a class three trailer hitch and wiring kit for the lights that connect to factory wiring with the harness. Can you make a recommendation for these products for me?

Hey Todd, congrats on the new SUV. To add a class III hitch to your 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander, I recommend our etrailer item # e69ZV. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Toyota with included hardware. It has a 5,000 lbs towing capacity and a maximum tongue weight of 500 lbs.

To add a towing wiring harness you will need the Curt item # C55245. The port will be located underneath the rear cup holder on the driver's side. This will provide you with a 4-way connector capable of controlling your trailer's lighting functions.

I checked with Westin and they do not have any options yet for a 2026 Grand Highlander. Instead, I recommend the Romik RAL-B Running Boards w/ Custom Install Kit item # RMK95PR. These black running boards are made of aluminum and are 5-1/2" wide. They include a custom installation kit that does not require drilling.
