Replacement Converter for WFCO 9855 that is Lithium Compatible

Question:
I have a WFCO power converter model WF-9855. I am looking to replace my lead acid batteries with Lithium Iron Phosphate and would like a new converter to accommodate the battery swap with minimal drama. It needs to support both lithium and lead, maybe with higher current. What are my options?

Hey Mike, the lithium compatible converter/charger you'd want to replace your WF-9855 would be the Progressive Dynamics # PD79RR which is rated for 60 amps and has a lithium and lead acid charge profile. Do you have a battery picked out already?

This is helpful. I need to explore how to protect it when it is installed. My current inverter is mounted on a sidewall in my class C garage (probably for heat dissipation purposes). It has a protective shield around it that wont work with the recommended replacement. Ill have to figure out something new. i have not yet selected my battery. I currently have 2 group 24 marine batteries wired in parallel under my stairs. I am thinking of supporting 2 100ah lithium with internal BMS. I don't boondock frequently and one 100 ah battery may be sufficient for now but I want to allow for expansion in the same physical space and I like the backup aspect of having two.
