Question:

Do I have to use the wireless features on the PowerMax PM77VR for it to work properly?

Hey Nicole! The PowerMax # PM77VR works perfectly fine as a standard 50-amp power center even if you never use the wireless features. The wireless control is optional and only applies to certain supported circuits like lighting, slide-outs, or awnings.

At its core, the # PM77VR is still a full AC/DC power center with breakers, DC fuse slots, and a built-in 60-amp converter/charger. You can install it, wire it like a normal power center, and ignore the app entirely if you want.

If you ever decide to use the wireless controls later, the hardware is already there - but it’s not required for normal operation. It's just there as a nice bonus option for users.

What kind of RV do you have? And do you know what your current power center model is?

Good to know. I just want something reliable, I don’t really care about phone apps.

@Nicole Totally understandable. You can treat the # PM77VR just like a traditional power center and never touch the wireless features. Everything works manually the same way it would on a standard panel.
