Question:
I have a 50-amp fifth wheel with an older WFCO 8900 series power center. What do I gain by upgrading to the PowerMax PM77VR?

Troy, the PowerMax 60A Power Center # PM77VR is designed to replace WFCO 8900-series WF-8900 PEC power centers in 50-amp RVs, but it also adds some meaningful upgrades beyond basic replacement. You still get full AC and DC distribution with a built-in 60-amp DC converter, but you also gain wireless control for certain RV circuits.
That can make everyday tasks like operating awnings, slide-outs, or lighting more convenient, especially during setup or teardown. If your current 8900-series panel is aging or struggling to keep up with modern loads, the # PM77VR updates both the electrical backbone and the user experience. If it still works fine and you don't really want to mess with it, I would honestly just leave it until you have an issue in the future (knock on wood).
Let me know what you're thinking Troy! Have a great day.
