Suspension Enhancement For A 2021 Chevy Equinox

Updated 01/27/2026 | Published 01/06/2026

Question:

I need some type of suspension help for my 2021 Chevy Equinox LT AWD for the front as well as the rear. I see several options for the rear, but is there anything for the front you can recommend? I drive Uber in the Minneapolis metro area and the bumps are too much. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Anthony!

While we do have a Timbren option with the # T23MR and an Air Lift option with the # AL39PD for the rear of your 2021 Chevy Equinox, it does not look like anyone offers anything for the front suspension. From looking at a diagram of the front suspension, I assume that has to do with how everything is laid out. It doesn't really look like there would be anywhere to connect anything to supplement it.

Now if I'm being totally honest, I don't think either of these options are going to be what you are looking for. Though I could be wrong about that. Both of these are used to shore up the rear of the vehicle when towing or carrying heavy loads and have to potential to make the bumps pretty harsh, the Timbrens especially.

I think going with a softer shock that has longer travel is more what you are looking for. We don't carry anything like that at the moment, but I am pretty sure they are out there. I found quite a few by searching "long travel shocks for 2021 Equinox" and I am pretty sure you will be happier with something along those lines.

And yes, I am aware it's kind of weird to be telling you to go somewhere else to get stuff, but I also don't want to mislead you. That said, if you do have any other questions or anything, just let me know. Always happy to help!

Hey Anthony, were you able to find a softer shock setup for your Equinox that helped smooth out those Minneapolis roads? Knowing what worked could help others trying to improve their ride comfort too.
