Hey Bill. To replace your Tie Down Model 66 actuator for drum brakes, I recommend the Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator item # DM72VR. It has a 7,000 lbs capacity, fits a 3" wide channel tongue, and will work with a 2" hitch ball.

The Demco item # DM72VR includes the EZ latch coupler, which is automatic self-latching mechanism, that does not require grease or maintenance.

What kind of trailer do you have?

Hey Bill, how did the Demco hydraulic brake actuator work out as a replacement for your Model 66? It’d be great to hear if it fit your trailer setup well. Your update could make it easier for others replacing the same actuator.
