Recommended Replacement for Tie Down Engineering (TDE) Brake Actuator 48980

Question:

Hi - my boat trailer has the tie down master brake cylinder part tde 48980. Can you help direct me to the right replacement part? I dont see it in my searches. Thanks

The Tie Down Engineering (TDE) Brake Actuator 48980 also known as the 80LP/85LP is a 8,000 lb or 8,500 lb disc brake actuator with 2" coupler. In order to replace this, the best option we have is the Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator part # DM8669113 which is rated for use with disc brakes, has an 8,000 lb weight capacity, and uses a 2" hitch ball. It also has a built-in drop which helps you match the tow vehicle height better.

Hello does all the dimensions line up the same it's a straight exchange ?

@Timothy Most likely they will not bolt up exactly in same bolts pattern.
