I have 2 Velotric Fold 2 Plus bikes. They have 20 inch wheels, cut also have a fender and the back has a rack. I am trying to find a sturdy rack for my bikes. I was wondering if this rack would work? Here is a pic of my bike. Also I love Evangeline’s videos. She’s very knowledgeable.

Hello Kelley, thanks for reaching out. While the Kuat Piston ION # KU89SR is a very solid rack, I have concerns about the rear fender on the Velotric Fold 2 Plus bike obstructing the wheel mount. With 20" wheels it would be pretty tight. The luggage rack would easily clear, but I am not confident about that fender clearance, so the best bet will be to go with something different.

That said, what I recommend is the Thule Epos Bike Rack # TH99XE. The main reason is the rack uses an adjustable clamp that can attach to the frame. Then it has wheel trays with straps that go around the tire. In this case you can attach the clamps to the seat post. So the fenders, luggage rack and step-thru frame will not be a problem. The rack can support bikes weighing up to 75 lbs apiece, so it's ideal for heavier e-bikes with alternative frames. It comes with a hitch lock and bike lock so good security too. There is also an optional loading ramp part # TH43VA which makes loading those heavy bikes quite a bit easier. Overall the Thule racks are top tier so they come highly recommended.

Hey Kelley, how did things go with the Thule Epos rack for your Velotric Fold 2 Plus bikes? Did the frame clamp and wheel straps work well with your fenders and rear rack? Your update could make it easier for others with similar e-bikes to find the right fit.
