Looking for Solution for 7-Way of 2008 Toyota Sequoia that Stopped Working
Updated 12/23/2025 | Published 12/22/2025 >
Question:
Hello, I have an 08 sequoia I just bought, there doesn’t seem to be any power to the trailer plug. I checked the fuses and relays and they seem to be ok, would tis likely solve my problem? Thank you, Eric

Hey Eric, so the Hopkins 7-way kit part # HM11143325 that you referenced is the correct replacement 7-way kit for your 2008 Toyota Sequoia so if your current 7-way is the problem this would for sure fix it. If all of the circuits aren't working though and you checked this with a tester like the part # PTW2992 that would make me think the issue is further upstream and most likely a relay or fuse. First thing to try would be cleaning off the pins of the 7-way to see if that fixes the issue. Most importantly the ground pin as that's the one circuit that can take out all of the other ones.
It could also be that the connectors are loose and just need to be reseated.

Toyota has a separate smaller fuse box under the hood with all the towing and trailer fuses. Make sure you checked that. Unplug your current 7 way trailer plug and use a multi meter to make sure you have power there, if you do, then this replacement plug will be what you need.
