Hey Steve. The left thread on the Phoenix USA Rear Wheel Center Cap item # PXQ2020L, means which direction the threads go on your hub not what side of the vehicle.

The Right Hand Thread item # PXQ2020 or Left Hand Thread item # PXQ2020L work with hubs that have a 8-1/4" hub diameter and a bolt pattern of 10 on 285mm. When it comes to the thread (either left or right), the names correspond to the direction that a screw’s thread wraps around its shaft. Most screws today use right-handed threads, and it’s rare to find a left-handed screw used in any application that doesn’t specifically call for it.

What year, make, and model motorhome do you have?

On my application, 2008 Fleetwood Discovery, the left handed threads go on the driver's side.

My 2015 DX3 has left on the driver’s side and right on the passenger’s side.
