Can 7-Way Trailer Wiring Install on 2024 Ineos Grenadier
Updated 05/04/2026 | Published 12/09/2025 >
Question:
For my 2024 Ineos Grenadier, adding trailer wiring. I understand that lights in newer vehicles use signals and not power to turn on the lights. Is there a powered trailed light converter that includes the reverse lights, so I can install a 7 pin socket.

Hey Neil, so we can help install trailer wiring on your 2024 Ineos Grenadier but we don't have anything custom fit for your vehicle so you would need to start with a 4-way that requires splicing into the vehicle taillights like the Curt # C59236. Then to convert to a 7-way you'd need a similar universal style adapter with the part # 37185. Then to activate the reverse light circuit you would need to tap into the reverse lights of your vehicle and run the wire to the purple wire of the 37185. I know you were looking for a custom fit option and I wish we had something but this will work and as long as you can do a bit of wiring it will install reasonably easy.

Hello, There are a lot of Grenadier owners out there that would really like to see a custom trailer wiring soulution, including trailer brakes. I guess I'm just writing this because I hear it and see it on forums all the time. What's it going to take? Thanks for letting me vent! LOL Bill G.

I understand what you are saying but I have been told that tappinig into the reverse lights only provides the signal, not enough power to actualy work the lights and then would throw a error code. That is the reason you need a powered light converter, is there such a thing as a powered converter for just the reverse lights.
