When the trail gets soft, your recovery boards shouldn't be buried under gear. This carrier keeps compatible boards mounted flat, frees up cargo space, and adjusts to different rack layouts while locking the pins against theft and rotation.
Recovery tracks ride flat instead of shifting around inside your vehicle, keeping your cargo area open for other gear. The bracket kit secures 2 or 4 compatible recovery tracks on your rack in a low-profile position that stays ready for the next trail.
Not every recovery board or rack layout lines up the same way. Reversible brackets move the mounting pins by up to 180 mm, and universal pins fit compatible Maxtrax recovery boards, giving your setup more flexibility without changing carriers.
Zwifloc channel nuts and the included mounting hardware fit compatible platforms from other manufacturers, making it easier to move the carrier between rack systems. North-south and east-west mounting options give additional flexibility, although east-west mounting isn't recommended on platforms with 4 or fewer planks because of possible interference.
Recovery gear is often left on your vehicle between trips. The mounting pins accept a padlock to reduce theft risk while also preventing unintended pin rotation during travel, keeping your recovery tracks secured to your rack.

Hi everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Today we're looking at the Rhino Rack recovery track flat carrier for Pioneer and Recon Deck racks. So folks, if you're heading off road, recovery boards are one of those pieces that you want easy access to when you actually need 'em, right So instead of having 'em buried underneath everything else inside the vehicle, this carrier kit will let you secure them on your roof rack and then they'll be ready to grab. So you can hold either two or four compatible recovery tracks with this kit. It's gonna keep them flat.
So it's gonna give you a lower profile setup that's also gonna free up viable cargo space inside your feature. Now you're gonna get two of these guys right here, (parts clack) heavy duty plastic. You're gonna get the Ziflock nuts. You're gonna get all the other hardware, the security key, and then you're gonna get four of these guys right here. And these are really the heart and soul of the whole kit.
I do wanna come up closer just so you can see a little better what's going on here. So if you look at that carefully, you can see numbers engraved over here and over here on this nut system. What's cool about this is once I get my boards in place, I can twist over however many I need to by hand to literally lock them in place. And now if the boards are on here, they can't get back out. If I had maybe just one board on there or something, maybe I don't need all that.
Maybe I just need everything but the bottom one or something of that nature and I can lock them down that way. So it's a pretty neat, quick way to get these on and off as far as your recover boards. And then obviously this will be bolted in place on that carrier. So again, folks, this is a universal mounting pin and these are compatible with the Maxtrax recovery boards. And these pins can also accept a padlock as well.
So that's an underneath feature, so I can spin this one and now I have a hole through here where I can put a padlock through and then I can secure everything lockable. For mounting, and again, you're gonna get the Zwiflock channel nuts and all the hardware. And these are designed for Pioneer and Recon deck racks, but this hardware can technically work with other brands or platforms. I'm just not sure exactly all of those. I can only tell you about the ones that we carry currently. So you may be able to make this work with some other stuff. You're just gonna have to test that out on your own. And as far as positioning these, you can position these carriers north to south or east to west, but the manufacturer says that east to west is not recommended on platforms with four or fewer planks because you might run into interference issues on those kind of situations.
