Question:

I have a 2025 jeep wrangler. I use a blue ox system on front. It has a permanent crossbar mounted on front of jeep. Will the roadmaster rock guard work with this. The one I like is the 3 piece hard plastic guard you have. Thanks Jack

Hi Jack!

The Roadmaster Guardian Rock Guard for Towed Vehicles # RM-4000 is really only designed to fit Roadmaster crossbar-style tow bars with quick disconnects, so I can't say what kind of modifications you would need to get it to fit your set up. If you are handy, it can probably be done though.

That said, would you be open to a different option? The Demco Sentry Deflector # DM9523135 is a pretty beefy guard and can be adapted to Blue Ox base plates with the Sentry Deflector Adapter Kit for Blue Ox Base Plates # DM9523061. It's a bit different than the Roadmaster, but may be a better option if you don't want to have to alter something in hopes that it can be made to fit.

One other thing with this Demco, the distance from arm to arm of the tow bar at the base plate must be between 20" and 31". If you are over that 31", you will also need to grab the Extension Panel # DM6147.

Are you getting a lot of road debris flying up and hitting your Jeep when it's being flat towed?

No not really. Just bought brand new and installed the blue ox system and want to get something before we try to tow it.

@JackH Makes sense. Have you looked at the Roadmaster Tow Defender Protective Screen for Towed Vehicles # RM-4750 by chance? It's on the pricey side, but it fits just about everything and works quite well.
