Hey Chris, thanks for reaching out. Living up in Alaska, you know better than anyone that sand can turn into concrete the moment it gets a little moisture and cold in it. The Meyer Blaster 350S Motorized Professional Salt Spreader # ME98FR is exactly what you want for pulling traction sand straight from a pile. It’s built with a heavy-duty vibrator to shake down that stubborn, wet material so it doesn’t bridge or clump up on you, and the brush auger does a great job chewing through the chunks and keeping the flow consistent. If you’re looking for a spreader that can handle the kind of sand you get up there, this is hands-down your best option.

Are you planning to run this for your own driveway and property, or will you be putting it to work for some commercial jobs?

I forgot to ask, how many bags (60 lbs each) of our traction sand, hold in this particular model ?

@ChrisM The max capacity of the # ME98FR is 350 lbs so it could take about 5 ish bags. Meyer also makes the Blaster 750RS # ME48FR which can hold up to 750 lbs or 12.8 cubic feet.
