Hey Dennis! The # ME86FR is Meyer’s compact Base Line 240 model 3.7 cu ft, intended for lighter-duty use like small driveways or walkways. The # ME26FR Base Line 400 steps you up to ~6.3 cu ft for mid-sized jobs. As you go up in size, you’ll get less frequent refilling but need more power, stronger chassis, and better support for the extra weight.

Do you know roughly how much area you’ll spread in one go? That can help pick the sweet size without excess weight.

That makes sense. I’ve got a small business with about five short driveways and a couple of small parking areas. I’d like to avoid refilling every few stops if I can.

@Dennis Dennis, in that case, the Base Line 400 # ME26FR is the way to go. The extra capacity saves you from constant refills, and it’s still light enough to handle easily on most half-ton pickups. You’ll appreciate that balance between runtime and maneuverability once you’re doing multiple jobs back-to-back. Keep your material dry, and that setup will serve you really well all season.
