When rock salt starts clumping up, this screen breaks it down before it hits the auger so your Blaster feeds smooth and you're not stopping mid-run to clear a jam.

Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Today, we're looking at our Hopper Screen for the Meyer Blaster Salt Spreader. So, folks, this screen is used for Blaster Spreader Salt Spreaders, 37000 and 39010, sold separately. And what this does is it helps break up the ice melt materials. If you have large clumps and you dump 'em in, this should help bust them up. It's a nice diamond plate, heavy-duty steel, much like the same material you would see on like a barbecue grill or something like that maybe.
It is heavy-duty, 44 inches end to end, 20 inches width. And again, this will go right inside the hopper when you're filling it. It is removable. Obviously, over time, something like this will probably rust just because it's right there with all the salt and everything. I recommend maybe putting a heavy-duty paint over it, maybe spray paint or something with something that's gonna help prolong the life of it.
It is made here in the US. That will wrap up our quick look together, folks. Again, I'm Steven with etrailer. Thanks for watching.
