When you’re hauling serious weight, this wheel is designed to handle it. The Dexstar Steel Mini Mod Trailer Wheel has a 3,520-lb capacity and a sturdy 16" x 6" steel rim that meets Department of Transportation standards. Its zero offset design helps distribute vertical load evenly, giving the stability and strength needed for loaded trailers on long drives.
Rust and corrosion don’t get a foothold here. The wheel’s black powder coat finish is applied over an e-coat primer, creating a tough barrier that stands up to moisture and road grime. It’s the kind of finish that stays looking sharp while extending the life of the wheel in humid or wet environments.
This wheel uses a common 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern with a 4.27" pilot diameter and zero offset, so it lines up easily with compatible hubs. Wheel bolt size is 1/2"-20 for simple mounting. The modular design also makes it easy to match visually with other wheels while keeping everything balanced.
Whether you’re running standard or heavy-ply tires, this wheel keeps up. It doesn’t have a maximum pressure rating of its own—the limiting factor is the tire and valve stem you use. With the right stem, it can handle setups rated up to 110 psi without issue, giving flexibility across different tire types and load needs.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

I ordered 4 rims and all of the arrived to finish damage. One even looks as though is was run down the road with a flat tire. They will hold air but I worry about rust issues now.
Upgrading the camper trailer from 15" to 16" wheels. Dexstar is the brand on the trailer now. It was easy to match. Easy to select and purchase. Very pleased with how the wheels were packaged and delivered. First rate.

Dexstar Steel rims are good quality. I order three for a trailer to have a spare. Dont know what happen but one didnt make it during shipping, the box had a big tear. Contacted etrailer and they quickly provided email to document issue and sent replacement the same day.
I was very impressed with these new rims when I opened the box. It was immediately apparent that they are very solid, well built, well constructed rims. The finish is very good quality. They will work very well on my trailer. I would without question purchase them again from etrailer. I do have one issue; value stems. I was expecting these rims to have standard size valve stems: NOT. Had I known this I would have ordered them with the rims. It would have been nice for etrailer to have included a set. Not a dealbreaker. I will pick them up at a local parts store.
Just got wheels mounted, look great on our trailer, put 14 ply tires on the wheels don't want any blowouts. Valve stems were easily installed also.
Rims are great, good price. My only complaint is the valve stem hole uses the older 5/8 diameter hole instead of the modern smaller hole.

Rims are still great after a year. Paint still looks good. I’ve had them off and back on a few times. Still holding up as you would expect them to.

I was looking for inexpensive 16" nice looking wheels to replace my 15s on my enclosed car hauler so I could upgrade the tires. They shipped quick, were true round and held balance weights with no problems. After a year, the finish still looks nice. I am not disappointed.
I purchased five of these wheels for a 10k lb trailer that I am building to haul my rock crawler Jeep. The quality of these wheels is fantastic! I was not expecting the material of the the metal to be as thick and heavy duty as it is. Although I paid a few dollars more for the black than if I would have purchased the silver wheels, I wanted the black wheels instead of the silver because I am painting my trailer grey/silver and thought that the black would look good against the trailer color. The powder coat finish is really nice as well. I had some Goodyear Marathon tires mounted on them today and the manager at Goodyear even commented on the construction and sturdiness of the wheels.
A huge bonus is that they are made in the USA!

These fit my 67 Airstream with torsion axles, upgrading from 15 to 16 inch wheels. Powder coating is very good. Tires have basically been sitting while camper is being overhauled; have not lost air pressure. Apparently very good quality wheels. Checked for runout by spinning and watching, not super precision test, but saw no runout spinning by hand.
I got this wheel for the spare. Upgrading from 15 to 16" wheels. As usual, eTrailer shipped fast, kept me in the know with what is going on and was super helpful with questions that I had prior to my purchase.
perfect, very fast shipping. I would’ve bought it with a 235 8016, but your tire prices are a tad bit higher than that of discount tire with a generic brand. I recommend you guys get some of the same tires as they do to increase your sales.
Wheels came as described. They fit as I wanted a larger, tougher tire on the trailer. The one complaint I had was the large information sticker was placed over the bead of the rims. The tire shop helped me remove them, but they used a wire brush on the inside bead to clean up. They said it was necessary to get the tire to seal. Please zip tie it or something easier to remove next time.
I bought five wheels, all the same size. Four were the wheels I ordered, the fifth was a different size. Customer service seems to have no interest in rectifying the problem, and I am too bust running a business to run them down on the phone. I'll pick a different trailer company to do business with.
The wheels powder coating is way better than I thought it would be!! They seem to be very well made as well. But I did receive one of the boxes damaged and one of the wheels has a ding in it now not sure what I should do now I’ve got a trip coming up shortly and I need these wheels on the trailer asap
The of the landing gear was very very POOR. It wasn't damaged but it was not secured inside the box. Not very safe. I'm just passing this on. I'm happy with everything
Arrived on time and in excellent shape will have new 14 ply tires mounted today This is the second set of wheels I have brought from etrailer
So I picked out a rim for my travel trailer and then called to confirm it would be the right one , talked over what I thought was every angle and seemed to b right one , apparently it was an HD version Wich has a bigger valve stem hole so my pressure valve doesn’t fit , had to have it mounted because of planned trip …. Now have 3 tires with pressure reading on truck and one without
Nice powder coated finish, heavy duty steel rim. Replacement for my 15 inch on my travel trailer.
The wheels themselves are very nice and well made. I appreciate that they are manufactured in the USA. I did not rate them higher due to a couple of issues, neither one having to do with the wheels' design or construction.
First of all, the description on the website does not state that these wheels use the larger valve stem size, .625" instead of .453". As a result, I had a last minute scramble before a camping trip to get the correct diameter TPMS senders. The descriptions for all the wheels sold by etrailer should state the valve stem hole diameter.
Second, as pointed out in many reviews, the wheels were improperly packed, and/or mishandled at the warehouse. All of them had small dings on the edges of the rims, where the paint had been chipped off. I am surprised that this is still happening after all the reviews that mention the issue. In my case etrailer provided a partial refund, that I appreciated. Had I not been under a tight schedule to get my trailer ready for a long trip, I would have asked for a replacement set of wheels instead.

These wheels have been working out well. With them I was able to go from 15 tires, that barely met the load requirement for my toyhauler to 16 tires with a higher load rating. Unfortunately, it appears that e-trailer has yet to include the valve stem hole diameter in their description. I think it would be helpful to buyers if this was a standard part of the specs for any wheel sold by e-trailer.
After three wheels were damaged on the first shipment, the three replacements were indeed packaged better. Had the foam and plastic protector ring and had paper to protect them from rolling in the box. I appreciate the quick turnaround, but it should have never happened in the first place.
Good quality fast shipping
Very high quality steel wheel (made in USA) made it affordably possible to replace the inferior quality, unsafe gravity cast Chinese wheels and crappy OEM tires on our Hyperlite XLR. Upon purchase of the XLR, we immediately bought a set of five so that we could run the Michelin RIB tire at 80psi. No "China Bomb" blow-outs, no problems. Everyone should do this for safety and piece of mind. These wheels should be industry standard!

One year later we are still enjoying the quality and piece of mind these wheels have delivered Along with the Michelin tires, we have yet to have any failures at all. 3500 mile trip to Fort Worth and back...no problems. The Dexstar wheels not only are performing perfectly, they still have a factory-fresh appearance due to in my opinion quality construction and quality finishing. They still look new! These wheels are the best and they allow us to use the best tires. Very pleased with the Dexstar wheel.
