Hi Gregg!
We can definitely get your 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander Limited all set up with a 7-way. There are going to be two ways of doing this and I have both listed below, but I do have to mention that there is no aftermarket plug and play harness to get you up to a 7-way.
Option 1:
Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # TK99FR
Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires # ETBC7
This will start with the Tekonsha 4-flat, which is needed as a starting point. If you already have a 4-flat, you can skip this part, but the # ETBC7 kit will piggyback off that 4-flat and it really is needed. I have a diagram included that shows what you will need to do to get the 7-way working, but it isn't too difficult. What's nice about this kit is you get the 7-way you are wanting, but also a working 4-flat right next to it, so you never need an adapter for smaller trailers.
Option 2:
Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness w Brake Controller Adapter - 7 Way Trailer Connector # TK57VR
This will be a very similar process to Option 1, but you do not need to have a 4-flat. It is also still partially plug and play, but you will need to run wires up to the battery and brake controller, just like with Option 1. This will be the more expensive option, but it is just one part instead of two, which I kind of prefer. The only downside is you do not have a working 4-flat once done, so you will need to have an adapter for smaller trailers (like the # PK12716). Not a huge deal, but definitely something to keep in mind.
Do you have a brake controller picked out already? There are a lot of options for that and I can help with that if you have any questions about them.

Hey Gregg, how did things go getting the 7-way wiring set up on your Grand Highlander Limited? I'm curious which option you decided to go with between the Tekonsha kit and the OEM replacement harness. Your update could make it easier for others working on the same setup.
