Can Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank EQ90-02-4600 Be Used Without WD Bars?

Question:
If I use this in the rise position without weight distribution bars, whats the max tounge weight? Can this hitch be use in the rise position stand alone without weight distribution bars?

Hello Robert, thanks for reaching out. Yes, you can absolutely use the # EQ90-02-4600 WD shank in the rise position, and it is totally fine to use as more of a standard ball mount without the WD bars. Folks do this all the time. It has a max tongue weight capacity of 1,400 lbs no matter what configuration you use. Even in the rise position on the highest setting, the tongue weight capacity is the same.
