Question:

Currently have a RAM trailer tongue jack installed on my TC Tear Trailer. I believe it to be your item MJ-1500B. The mounting bracket dimensions match as well as screw holes. Was hoping to replace with an ARK. However it appears the mounting holes are different. TC welds a mounting bracket onto the tongue that matches the MJ-1500B. Need a jack the retracts more as at 13 is still a bit high.

Hey David. The Ark Xtreme Off-Road Tube Mount Swivel Trailer Jack item # ARK57FR comes with a mounting bracket and a pipe mount option. I've a attached a diagram below that will show the dimensions of the mounting bracket. It will fit a mounting tube that has a 2" - 2.25" outer diameter. If those don't match up it does come with brackets that will fit a 3" to 6" tall trailer frame.

The Ark Xtreme item # ARK57FR has a retracted length of 12". It also has the ability to easily swivel up to be stored parallel with your trailer's frame. This jack has a 1,650 lbs capacity.

Our TC is a 5x10 Original with extended tongue that has 2 1-up bike racks mounted between trailer cabin and tongue box. As I stated earlier TC welds a jack mounting plate that appears to mirror the outside dimensions of the RAM Mj-1500B. The jack is mounted to directly to the plate utilizing top and bottom holes. Mounting holes are 5.5" W (c-c) and 4.5" H (c-c). Looking at the mounting holes of the ARK57FR it appears NOT to be a match to the welded mounting plate. However retracted 12" would be GREAT. Any other thoughts?? Thanks, Dave B

@DavidB You are correct the Ark item # ARK57FR is not going to fit the mounting bracket. That TC mount is one that Ram jacks use. It's not common. The only options we have that fit it are the item # MJ-1500B you referenced or item # MJ-1200B. They measure 13" and 12-1/2" when retracted. If you have spacing on the opposite side of your trailer's tongue, I recommend using the Ark item # ARK57FR and the included mounting bracket. This is the only solution I have to get you the 12" of retracted length.
