Hey Mike, congrats on the new SUV. For cable style chains that fit 225/55 R18 tires you can use the Glacier Cable Tire Chains item # PW1042.
The best tire chains for your 2025 Subaru Forester are going to be the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains item # TC1555. They do fit your 225/55 R18 tires and are also S class compatible, which means they'll work great in low clearance areas. You'll need at least 1.46" of clearance above your wheels and 0.59" between the tire's sidewall and your Subaru.
I really like the Titan chains item # TC1555 because they are extremely effective but also a good value. These chains have diamond-pattern square links which means they not only provide you with traction in the snow, but also have a good grip on icier roads. They are also easier to install than similar chains due to their integrated tensioners and drape over installation style. They even come with a storage case so the chains aren't sliding around in the back of your Forester.
Why did you say you need some sort of cable type tire chain and what area of the country do you plan on needing chains for?
You can add this information and any other questions you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.
