Can I Install the Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Roof Tray on My Leitner Over the Bed Rack System?

Question:

I have a 2023 Ford F250 Lariat/Tremor crew cab. I currently have a Leitner over the bed rack system with three heavy duty cross bars. The Leitner platform rack is on the smaller side for such a large truck so looking for something larger. Wanted to know if this would be compatible to mount on the existing Leitner rack. Or would I need some sort of adapters/extra parts? Thank you!

I wasn’t too familiar with the Leitner over-the-bed rack system, so I reached out to Leitner to make sure it would work. They were kind enough to share their T-slot design diagram.

Yes, the Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Roof Tray - Aluminum - 100" Long x 62" Wide # RR82TB will be a fantastic addition to your Leitner over-the-bed rack system.

What do you plan on hauling on the platform? Working on the perfect overlander setup?

Thanks for looking into this. Greatly appreciated. I figured there was a way to make it work. I love the Leitner system but their largest platform rack is on the small side. Still trying to figure out the best solution for a 37” full size spare. But will plan to use for pop up tent, surfboard/paddleboards/snowboard racks, pelican cases, etc. Thanks again. TG

@Trevor I was working the Epic bike race last month and stayed in the Thule Tepui Foothill Rooftop Tent - 2 Person - 600 lbs - Agave Green # TH37HJ and was surprised how comfortable it was, slept like a baby =) We do have some hitch mounted options, like the # RM-195225 which would still give you a 2" receiver to use. If you are interested in a hitch mounted carrier let me know your exact tire size so I can find one that will work. If I think of any other options for your set-up I will let you know. Also, we carry all the carrier for the toys, so if you want some recommendations or have any questions about ones you are looking at, please let me know.
