Correct Safe-T-Plus Steering Stabilizer for a 2019 Jayco Precept 29V Motorhome

Updated 11/13/2025 | Published 10/15/2025

Question:

I currently have a 2019 Jayco precep 29v gvw 20500 lbs and had a safety plus the white unit installed 6 years ago. I have never seen much of a difference in the handling of the unit. My question is can I or should I upgrade to the blue unit which is rated for a heavier unit or would that be over kill. Will the white unit do its job in event of a front tire blow out. I don’t have much faith in the unit I have. Also can u recommend a better unit if there is one. Thx

Hey Joe!

The White Safe-T-Plus Steering Stabilizer # ST88MR is the correct one for your 2019 Jayco Precept 29V, and the Blue one, part # ST28MR, is for a heavier motorhome so I'd be afraid that using it could cause more harm than good.

The Safe-T-Plus brand is new to us so I don't have a TON of experience with it, but from what I've been able to look into and gather it's a really solid system. If you wanted to go a different route, then the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer # RM-RBK22-RSSA has been our go-to for a long time, and I definitely recommend this over using the Blue Safe-T-Plus kit.

Let me know if you have any other questions! I'd love to make sure you're confident in your steering stabilizer of choice!

Hey Joe, how did things turn out with the Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizer on your Jayco Precept? Did you notice any improvement after sticking with the white unit or trying the Roadmaster Reflex instead? Your experience could help others choosing between these options.
