Question:

How hard is it to install the ST88MR myself on my 2017 Georgetown 31B3? I have jack stands and basic hand tools but no lift. do I need alignment too?

Jeff, totally doable at home if you’re comfortable working under the front axle. The # ST88MR kit’s brackets use your existing leaf-spring U-bolts - no drilling or welding. You’ll just need a torque wrench up to 250 ft-lbs and a long breaker bar for the U-bolt nuts.

Plan about 1-1/2 hours for the install, then take it on a straight test drive to fine-tune the center point. Safe-T-Plus includes clear step-by-step instructions and alignment tips.

If you’d rather not crawl under there, most RV or truck shops can install it for an hour’s labor. Jeff, do you have an alignment shop nearby familiar with F-53 chassis work? If your alignment is fine and tires are wearing evenly, you can just install the stabilizer, but if you need an alignment first, you'll want to do that before installing the stabilizer.
