What Is The Normal Size Screw For Flooring In An Enclosed Trailer

Question:

So, when it comes to the flooring screws for and enclosed trailer. What are the differences between and 8, 10, and 12 size screws compare to a 1/4inch or an 1/8inch screws. What is the normal size screws for the flooring in an enclosed trailer?

Hello John. So the number refers to the diameter of the screw with #8 being smaller and #10 or #12 being larger. I believe a #12 screw is the same as 7/16". I do not have a conversion chart I can post on here, but you can find them online. There is not a standard for enclosed trailer flooring but what I recommend would be something like a 1-1/2" torx floor screw.
