Best Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 2017 Sprinter RV
Updated 10/30/2025 | Published 10/02/2025 >
Question:
we have a 2018 Roadtrek Agile which uses a 2017 Sprinter 2500 chassis and we want to upgrade the leaf springs. We believed the SSA11 SuperSprings for Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 25003500, would be our best option but your site says it will not fit. What will best fit for our needs? We already have the black polyurethane super springs front and rear along with B6 Bilstein struts and Van Compass monotube shocks from 2022. We do not tow and our certified weight loaded, including 2 adults, is 8900 pounds. Our trips are 4-6 months and include rough asphalt and concrete highways. Currently feels like a rolling Earthquake. thank you for your time, knowledge and help.

Hey Dewey, the best suspension enhancement we have for the rear of your 2017 Mercedes Benz Sprinter 2500 would be the Roadactive Suspension Kit part # RAS3620. Of all of the kits we offer this is the one we get the best feedback on in terms of ride quality and improved handling. Unlike other options this also has the ability to adjust the amount of support you have too so you can really tailor it to your tastes. I can definitely relate to the "rolling earthquake" as I have a Chevy Tahoe that was once a cop car and it has super stiff sway bars front and back and while it helps with the handling it makes every small bump feel like you are running over railroad tracks.
