Question:

Hello, Ive got a new 2025 GMC Sierra 2500 and and a camper that is pre-wired for a furion back up camera. I want to buy a furrion camera and utilize my infotainment screen in lieu of the monitor that comes with the furrion camera. Do you sell the camera only? Also, Ive read that there is a voltage issue on newer trucks that causes issues with the furion cameras. I understand that you see sell an adapter for the 7pin connection that solves the problem. Is the adapter needed for a 2025 GMC 2500 sierra? Thanks for your help.

Congrats on the new 2025 Sierra 2500! What is your favorite new feature?

It would be really great if you could tie the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System # FOS05TASF into your infotainment screen of your 2025 Sierra, but it is not possible. Furrion camera systems are built to function only with their dedicated monitors. They use a unique 2.4 GHz wireless signal that does not support integration with other screens, including your vehicle’s factory infotainment system. If you are OK with having a second screen in your vehicle and go with the # FOS05TASF you will need the 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter for Furrion RV Observation Camera # FR87PR since your 2025 GMC does not provide enough power on the running light circuit. I included an image of the monitor installed that a customer shared with us so you can see that it is just installed with a suction cup, I know that having a second screen might be a little annoying, but it can be easily removed when you are not pulling your trailer.

The only way that I know to tie a camera into your infotainment screen is by getting a camera from GM directly. They have a trailering camera that can be added, for some reason it is not currently available for purchase on their site, you will need to reach out to GM on why.

I am sorry that this is not the answer you were hoping for. Please let me know what you decide to go with.

Hey Jake, how did things turn out with the Furrion Vision S camera and the power adapter for your Sierra? Were you able to get the setup working smoothly with the second screen? Your update could make it easier for others trying to connect a similar camera system.
