Can Swing Out Adapter be Used with Dirt Bike Carrier

Question:

I have a 2018 Sprinter 2500 4x4 170 with a factory hitch. Can the 300 rated swing out adapter work with a moto tote and a 250 dirtbike?

Hey Greg, yes the Swagman Swivel Hitch Extender # S86SR would work great as it has the needed capacity and can be used in the factory hitch of a 2018 Sprinter 2500. What kind of dirt bike do you have?

@Greg Two stroke! I have an old 2000 YZ250, a modern 4 stroke, and a Stark Varg. There's just something extra fun about two strokes though.

Can the hitch swing be swung out with the dirt bike still on the rack? I want to be able to enter my camper without unloading my dirt bike.

@Nate yes as long as the weight of the rack and your bike is less than the 300 lb capacity of the adapter. Looks like the Moto Tote weighs right at 60 lbs and your bike weighs around 230 as long as I am getting correct info on it so that would be right at 290 and would be fine.
