Question:

I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Fuso FE that I’d like to add Timbrens to. However the FE ion shows the mounting holes on the side of the frame. This isn’t possible without drilling holes. Whereas the FG ion shows the mounting bolts directly under the frame: this seems to be the correct orientation. Can you confirm that the FG ion would fit my fuso? Bolt spacing is ~2 3/8” on center

Hey Colton, thanks for reaching out!

I spoke with my contact at Timbren and they said you'll need the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TMFRFMMR for your 2003 Mitsubishi-Fuso FE. They took a look at your photo and said the L bracket will fit in the same spot as the square-looking bracket in your photo.

The Timbren Kit # TMFRFG you're looking at won't work, according to my contact as well.

Hopefully this helps you out in your decision!

That square plate is not bolted. It is riveted to the frame and not removable without drilling.

@Colton Will it fit on the other side of the frame?

@JonG I don’t believe so. The heads of the rivets wouldn’t allow the L-bracket to sit flush against the frame

@Colton I'm kind of at a crossroads here, really. I definitely get what you're saying, but I can't really go against what my contact at Timbren said. Were you planning on having a shop install this kit, or were you wanting to do it on your own?
