Looking For A Replacement Bauer Lock BP12 For My Horse Trailer

2004 EBY Horse Trailer My Bauer door latch is not working. It has a patent pending code say BP12. Mine looks identical to the one pictured however my dimensions are 4.5” Tall x 5.25” Wide. Your description states 5.25”Tall x 4.5” Wide. Is it possible the description is incorrect? Thank You, Steve

Hey Steven,

I did head out to our warehouse and confirm the dimensions of the Bauer # BA28UR are as stated 5-1/4" tall x 4-1/2" wide. I did however locate one that is the size you need and the lock we recommend for replacing the BP12 that you currently have. You are going to want to go with the Bauer # BA64FR. This is the same dimension as your current lock, the only difference being the 2 lock cylinders for a handle and deadbolt lock separate. Installation will be simple with it being the same size.

The closest door latch we will have is the Redline Full Size Locking Steel Flush Door Latch #L3980. However, this will fit a 3-3/8" x 4-5/8" cut out and will measure 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" so it will end up being too small for your door.…
