How to Remove the K-Source Snap & Zap Custom Towing Mirrors
Updated 09/12/2025 | Published 08/29/2025 >
Question:
these are touted as being easy on and easy off. I have used this same type of mirror for my 2023 chevy 1500 and they work great. the ones i bought for my 2024 wrangler were a bit hard to get on and I cannot figure out how to get them off. they are nothing like the ones for my chevy which are easy to get on and off. can anyone tell me an easy way to remove these when i install them for towing?

Hey, Mark.
Sorry to hear you're having a tough time getting the mirrors off. One of our guys down in demo, Ed, did a video on these and at the beginning he does show how to remove them. I'll say, the sound you hear when getting them off sounds like you are going to brake something. This will be a "trust the process" moment with getting them off.
I've linked the video for you. Ed removes the mirrors at the beginning. You need to push down, then push back and up to get them off. Let me know how it goes. If you are still having troubles, let me know and I'll catch Ed at the drinking fountain with questions.

Hey Mark, Did the video help you with removing the mirrors from your Wrangler? I'm asking because it could give others confidence when using these mirrors.
