Hi Alfred!

24 years out of your Duo-Therm ACs is quite the lifespan!

You can replace your Duo-Therm ACs with the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner - 15,000 Btu - White - R32 # ADV86SR, but you will need the following parts to complete the install:

Air Distribution Box w/ Wall-Mounted Thermostat for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners - White - R32 # ADV98SR
Start Capacitor for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners # ACMSCKIT

We have this as a full set up with the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System - Single Zone - 15,000 Btu - White - R32 # ADV92SR. As you will be replacing both ACs, you will need two of each pieces or two full kits to replace everything.

With the AC manufacturers switching over to the new R32 coolant to meet new EPA regulations, it is causing a few issues. None of the new systems (or any of their parts) are backwards compatible with products pre-2025. I know that's a bummer to hear, but there isn't any way around it, unfortunately.

Any more trips planned for the summer?

Hi Alfred, Did you decide to go with the Advent Air system for your Beaver Contessa? I'm curious to know how the installation went and if the new units are keeping things cool for your travels. Your experience could really help others looking to upgrade their RV ACs.
