Does the Trailer Mate require stabilizing straps if I’m hauling a bike rack on my 2025 RAV4?

Chris, Curt recommends using a stabilizing strap for all non-trailer loads on some class 1 1-1/4" receivers, but for the 2" receivers like the Trailer Mate # TMT54FR, you won't need to worry about that strap.

What type of bike rack do you have? If you don't have one, let me know and I'll find one that suits your needs. The good thing about the 2" receiver is that it's compatible with many more accessories than a 1-1/4" receiver, and it can hold more weight.

To everyone else reading this, have you needed to use the curt stabilizing strap # 18050 before on a class 1 receiver?
