It is noted that this hitch fits up to 66inch width. My trailer channels are 61. How is the width adjusted to fit my width?

Hey Mike, thanks for reaching out. I see you already got an adjustable hitch on order but I still wanted to reply to your question.
The wording on the part page for the Lippert 2" Accessory Receiver Hitch # LC78DX is really weird. This hitch is not adjustable so I am really not sure why it says "up to" 66" when in reality this hitch is specifically designed for Coachmen Apex units that are prepped from the factory with hitch receiver tabs. So it is designed for a specific 66" wide frame. I will see about getting out page edited to make this more clear.
I see you ended up ordering the Stromberg Carlson Adjustable Hitch # SC45MR. This actually is adjustable and will work great with your 61" wide frame.
What do you plan to use the hitch for?
